Laughing at Growing Old

A younger friend of mine told me that he believed that life begins when your last child leaves home and takes the dog with him. He has so much to learn.... This book takes a humorous look at the various aspects of growing older. Growing older is mandatory; growing up is optional. * On Grandchildren: Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children. * On Marriage: You know you are an old married man when getting lucky means finding your car in the parking lot and an all-nighter means not getting up to pee * On Doctors: If you go to the doctor and tell him your left arm hurts and he can't figure out why, he'll just say it is old age. I don't buy that because my right arm is just as old and it doesn't hurt. * On Attitude: Eventually you'll reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it. * On Loss of Memory: I went to the doctor about my loss of memory. He gave me some pills to take three times a day. If I could remember anything three tines a day, I wouldn't need the pills. If you remember 5 & 10 cent stores, home delivery of milk with glass bottles and listening to the President's speeches on the radio- this book is for you. Laughing At Growing Older will help you remember that being over the hill is much better than being under it.

What Customers Are Saying... Elizabeth Cody... Wonderful and cleaver! I would love to have your book as thick as a phone book! If you decide to publish a larger book, I will be your first customer. I certainly have been laughing at the comments! Rosalie Howard... I was really feeling down and when I started reading the book, I laughed so hard I had tears and felt so much better afterwards. When I feel down I know where I can get a good laugh. Shirley Veuhoff... A Friend visited me telling me her husband for 20 plus years just decided to separate from her. After pouring her heart out, I handed her your book to read. Approximately 45 minutes later, she was laughing with tears, side-splitting, falling with laughter. I plan to share your book with others to cheer-up. We all need a good laugh.
