When John H. Hacker fell off his sailboat and broke his leg, he was stuck in bed for a few weeks. To combat boredom, he got out his laptop and wrote "Growing Old Isn't For Wimps" from stories he had collected over the years.

His first book, Growing Old Isn't For Wimps, was published in 2005 and was so successful that we are publishing a revised edition, Laughing at Growing Old.

He is the co-author of Residential Steel Design and Construction published by McGraw Hill and a Civil Engineer with his own firm for more than 40 years. He has donated many hours of pro bono work for various organizations and received the Angel Network Award from Oprah for his work with Habitat for Humanity. In addition, his firm has won several national awards for it's engineering projects.

He is available for seminars on "How to Self-Publish." If interested, he can be contacted at john@i-form-ink.com or by calling

760-340-4517, Ext. 113

Hacker lives in southern California with his wife of 50 years and has four children and three grandchildren. He still sails every chance he gets.
